STEERS
1. Read general rules and regulations.
2. Classes will be established for:
1. American Breeds and American Crosses (Bos Indicus influenced steers) 2. English Breeds (Angus, Red Angus, Shorthorn, Hereford and Polled Hereford) 3. All Other Breeds and Crosses
3. Steers must be owned and in possession of the exhibitor in accordance with the Texas State Validation Guidelines.
4. County Only Validation-To be eligible for the county show, your steer must be validated on or before June 30th, under the supervision of the County Validation Committee with an official Mason County Livestock Show & Expo validation tag.
5. There will be a 900 lb. minimum weight.
6. Classes will be broken by weight. The Livestock Committee will break classes as evenly as possible.
7. Any animals that are deemed unruly will automatically be sifted. All sifted animals must be removed from the barn immediately.
8. An award will be presented to the breeder of the highest placing Mason County bred and raised steer.
9. Premium Sale Sheets are due immediately after the show.

HEIFERS

3. Heifers must be owned and in possession of the exhibitor in accordance with the Texas State Validation Guidelines.
4. County Only Validation-To be eligible for the county show, your heifer must be validated on or before October 31st, under the supervision of the County Validation Committee with an official Mason County Livestock Show & Expo validation tag.
5. All heifers must be registered with their respective breed association to be eligible to compete. Original Registration Papers must be presented at check in.
6. Heifers may not have a birth date older than September 1, 2024.
7. Classes will be broken by age: Class 1-January 1, 2026 and younger, Class 2-December 31, 2025 to May 1, 2025, and Class 3-April 30, 2025 to September 1, 2024. The Livestock Committee will break classes as evenly as possible. If there are less than 3 head in a division, that division will show as one class.

9. Premium sale sheets are due immediately after each show
